Certified Financial Planner (CFP®)
Financial Planner & CFP®
As an advisor who strives to uncover his clients’ true financial potential, Mark enjoys finding the right path (often a path they never would have taken on their own) and guiding them to success. One of his favorite parts of being a financial planner is helping his clients through important “life moments,” like buying a house or having a baby, and planning accordingly to ensure a comfortable standard of living. To Mark, financial planning is more than just deciding where to save and invest his clients’ money; it’s making a lasting difference in their—and their families’—lives.
Mark has gained valuable experience writing financial plans for high net-worth families over the years. This experience stemmed from work at prior firms as well as operating his own investment and insurance practice in Madison before moving back to Oconomowoc after his first child was born.
Mark is active in the Financial Planners Association (FPA) and The National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA). Mark has achieved the NAPFA requirement of over 30 hours of continuing education each year to stay current with the ever changing tax laws and financial markets. This allows him to stay up-to-date on current trends in the investment industry. His comments have been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Yahoo! News, U.S. News and World Report, and Research Magazine. In addition to FPA and NAPFA, Mark volunteers his financial expertise to military veterans who have returned from service.
Mark and his wife Becca live near Oconomowoc with their daughter Emma and son Carson. During the winter, they downhill ski and skate on the neighborhood pond. During the summer, they spend much of their free time on the local lakes water skiing and fishing.
