No Shave November Raises Money for a Serious Cause
Men at Winona Health in Minnesota retired their razors for the month of November (or sponsored a bearded friend), to raise money for the Men’s Cancer Care Fund. One of these gentlemen is Colleen’s son, Zach, who has been growing out his facial fur to help reach their goal of $5,000.
Of course, there are all kinds of fun associated activities at the hospital, including bragging rights for best beard and for the man who raised the most money. Here’s a photo of last year’s winner, Tony, with his giant trophy. Note the “Well Grown Sir” Sash. Men LOVE sashes.
Any individual or business donor who gives $500 or more to the cause will have a chance to tour the MedLink helicopter up close and personal. Get an inside view of what happens when the copter is called in on a medical mission. Sounds fun! While you are there, tour the beautiful Winona bluffs and the Winona area wineries. Zach has spent some of his time in Winona doing both.
This week, we are donating to the Men’s Cancer Care Fund for the bearded Zach Schoenike (pictured here with the lovely Megan). We know he is itching to shave. Thanks, Zach!
In the name of clean shaven faces everywhere, feel free to make your own donation to Winona Health Foundation’s Beards for Bucks Campaign and the Men’s Cancer Care Fund.
Fill out the donation form or stop by the Foundation office to make a donation to Beards for Bucks. Winona area men with cancer thank you! If you have any questions, contact Zach at 507.474.3328 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Sometimes charitable giving to smaller funds has a larger impact. This is one such case. Let’s help them reach their $5,000 goal!
