ONE DESTINATION. A WORLD FREE OF MS.
Bike MS ® is more than a ride. It’s an experience grounded in camaraderie and marked by passion, inspiration, determination and pure enjoyment. It will be an experience you’ll never forget, shared with new friends and old.
Much more than the ride of a lifetime, with each pedal stroke you’ll be helping us reach our goal — a world free of MS.
I’m riding in this year’s Bike MS again!
I’m riding for my brother’s daughter-in-law Rachel, who has MS. On any given weekend, it’s easy enough to find a cycling event. So what is it about Bike MS that makes it so special? Why do teams come back year after year? How is it that signing up to change people’s lives can lead to your own being changed?
It’s because we’re all in it together.
From the friendly competition to see who raises the most money to group training rides when we’re riding side-by-side; from the volunteers who hand out ice-cold popsicles when we need them most to the cooks who serve up the most delicious post-ride dinners; from the drivers who have our stuff to the drivers who have our backs, we all rely on and appreciate each other – savoring the joy, the triumphs and the connections on our journey together.
No one can fully describe what it’s like to Bike MS—it’s something you must experience for yourself.
How Bike MS Works
Bike MS is the fundraising cycling series of the National MS Society and raises more money than any other cycling event for any other cause. To date, Bike MS cyclists, volunteers, and donors have raised more than $1 billion so people affected by MS can live their best lives as we stop MS in its tracks, restore what’s been lost and, end MS forever.
Rides throughout the country will take you through the city streets of New York, along the coast of California, through the open fields of the Midwest, or the mile-high elevations in Colorado. Route distances vary from 15 to 150 miles, with some rides being one day, and some being multi-day. One thing is certain: You will have the ride of your life.
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body. Symptoms range from blurred vision, loss of balance, poor coordination, slurred speech, tremors, numbness, extreme fatigue, problems with memory and concentration, paralysis, blindness and more. MS is different for everyone, and that makes it all the more challenging to solve.
Believe it or not, pedaling a bike could be the answer to a world free of MS. Mile by mile, dollar by dollar, Bike MS provides much needed funding not only to research, but to ensuring people affected by MS can live their best lives. I just signed up for this year’s ride and I’d really appreciate your support in my fundraising efforts.
Your tax-deductible contribution will help the National MS Society fund groundbreaking research and life-changing programs for people living with MS. And ultimately, end MS forever.
Thank you so much!
