You’ve all heard of them (and probably given to them)… but it’s time to take another look!
When you look at their Mission & Vision statements, they will sound familiar: change lives and improve our community… driving strategic impact in health, education and financial stability. But LOOK at their Impact and their Reach:
United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County impacts individuals and families in our local local community, by investing in 220-plus programs at over 110 local agency program partners.
United Way brings together partners from business, education, government, faith-based and nonprofit organizations to work toward common goals, resulting in a better quality of life for all. Through the Community Fund we strategically focus on the areas of health, education, and financial stability.
In addition to our focus areas we also invest in:
- Continuum of Care Coordinated Entry
- Financial Stability Initiative
- Health Improvement Fund
- Healthy Birth Outcomes
- Healthy Youth Initiative
- Helping Kids Succeed Initiative
- Individual Development Accounts (IDA)
- Milwaukee Community Schools Partnership
- Milwaukee Succeeds
- Readers United
- Teen Pregnancy Prevention Initiative
Thanks to the over 70,000 donors and 9,340+ volunteers who have enabled United Way to create positive community-wide change right here in our local community.
The graphs below illustrate who benefited from United Way-funded programs in 2015-16.* See more about who is impacted by United Way-funded programs in the 2017 Community Impact Report and by visiting Who We Help.
*An additional 143,555 individuals were served in our local community that did not provide a zip code or were homeless.
We are donating to United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County today – and we hope you will consider doing the same!
